The 2019 summit theme is ‘Building a Mountain Bike Destination’ and who better to play host than the world-famous Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails.
Since opening the first 20km of trails in February 2015, Derby has established itself as one of the premier mountain bike destinations in the world and has well and truly put Australia on the map of the mountain biking world.
During the Summit you will hear real-life stories from Derby business operators and discover the secrets of the Derby journey from concept to international mountain biking destination.
You'll also hear from world famous mountain biking and adventure tourism legends, the event managers of the Enduro World Series, hear the trends in mountain biking and exciting new developments in Australia.
A third optional day is available for those who want to learn from the best - Australia's legendary trail builders, World Trail and Derby's trail maintenance crew, a one-day hands on trail building and trail maintenance workshop.
But being Derby, it's just not all work and no play, there'll be an afternoon ride or two, a feature film, beers, BBQ's and a few more surprises.

For over 10 years Thomas Vanderham has been a mainstay in the sport of freeride mountain biking and has developed a following for his unmistakable style on a bike and ground breaking movie segments.
A self-proclaimed big mountain rider, he has placed in the top ten at every Red Bull Rampage ever held, and stood on the podium in 2008.
Thomas is prolific in the industry’s biggest and best media outlets.

Getting Here and Where To Stay
There are multiple accommodation offerings in Derby which typically cater for large groups there are also a number of new accommodation providers that cater for very small groups.
However for those travelling on their own we have secured a block booking at The Branxholm Hotel, Dorset Hotel and Dales of Derby. Rooms are limited and need to be booked by August 31 - when booking mention The Summit.
For those unable to secure accommodation in Derby we recommend neighbouring towns Scottsdale and Branxholm.
