Trail closures are currently taking place across the network to allow Blue Derby’s epic trail crew to complete work before spring is officially here.
Closures include:
- Hazy Days (upper and lower)
- Lower Air Ya Garn
- Blue Tier (as previously advertised)
- Atlas (from Sep 2 for harvesting works)
Both World Trail and Blue Derby trail crews will be working their magic massaging out all the braking bumps, rebuilding lips and general rejuvenation in prep for the season.
Regarding closure of the Atlas Trailhead and subsequently the trail (due to no other access points), Timberlands Pacific will be frequently using Carnac Road for road line harvesting in the immediate area surrounding the Atlas Trailhead.
Physical barriers will be in place and other road closures while this work commences.
If the trail head reopens prior to the completion of road line harvesting, harvest crew will adjust operating hours so road closure is only necessary during mornings with opening of Carnac Road for shuttle bus and public use during afternoons.
Consult your shuttle company regarding this if required.
All trails are expected to be open by Tasmania’s September school holidays at the latest, we’ll keep you updated.
