Derby is central to some magnificent waterfalls that are iconic to Tasmania.

Soak in the countryside as you take a scenic drive to Ralph Falls, here you can choose one of two walking trails to the lookout.

The first a 20 minute return through a myrtle rainforest most definitely inhabited by fairy folk, the second a 50 minute circuit via Cashs Gorge Loop.

Ralphs Falls is a long thread of water cascading down a forested cliff face, uniquely exquisite as it’s Tasmania’s highest single drop waterfall.
